Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 1, 2026

Anthara Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website located at antharalabs.comand its subdomains, including the Western E-Scooter Pilot interest validation campaign (collectively, the “Website”).

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our visitors, students, alumni, and participants (“you” or “your”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, under what circumstances we share it, and how we protect it. Our privacy practices are designed to align broadly with Canadian private-sector privacy expectations, including consent, limited collection, safeguards, and individual access/correction rights.

1. What Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide, including personal contact details such as your name, personal email address, and university-issued email address (e.g. @uwo.ca or @westernu.ca). To verify unique submissions and prevent automated spam, we collect your Western Student ID number. We also collect academic affiliation status (such as undergraduate, graduate, alumnus, or staff), registered faculty details, and survey responses regarding estimated micro-mobility use cases and ride frequencies. When you contact us directly, we preserve any communications and email addresses supplied. Finally, we gather standard technical and usage data (including browser types, operating systems, and session durations) to monitor and optimize website traffic.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we gather serves to validate student interest and compile statistics for proposal development, enabling us to measure support for the micromobility initiative. We use contact details to send campaign updates, survey follow-ups, or proposal notifications directly related to the Western E-Scooter Pilot. The aggregated, anonymized statistics are compiled into reports to present to university stakeholders, municipal officials, or transport advisors. Additionally, we use these records to detect and prevent duplicate voting, protect our interest forms from spam, monitor website performance to optimize the user experience, and satisfy any applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

3. Legal Basis & Consent

We collect and process your personal information based on your voluntary consent. By submitting interest forms on our Website, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, although doing so may result in the exclusion of your response from our aggregated campaign data.

4. Aggregated & Anonymized Reporting

One of the primary goals of this campaign is to demonstrate student support to administration. For this purpose, we may share aggregated, non-identifying statistical reports(e.g. “85% of Social Science students surveyed support hub-based parking”) with potential operating partners, Western University officials, the City of London officials, or advisory boards.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal, identifying information to third parties for marketing or commercial operations.

5. Service Providers & Data Transmissions

We engage third-party service providers to perform operational functions on our behalf. These partners are permitted to access personal information only to execute their specific services and are bound to strict confidentiality agreements. Our partners include Supabase for secure database hosting and record storage, Vercel for web application delivery and caching, Zoho Mail for managing general campaign communications, and basic web telemetry tools to monitor website performance and traffic paths.

6. Data Storage & Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, or loss. However, no transmission over the internet or database storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You submit information at your own risk.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of the interest validation campaign, maintain business records, or comply with legal requirements. If the proposal development phase concludes, we will securely archive or delete identifying student details in accordance with our data management policies, or upon your explicit deletion request.

8. User Rights & Corrections

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. If you would like to request that we remove your vote or correct spelling anomalies in your submission, please contact us using the email below.

9. Students & Minors

Our Website and campaign forms are intended for university students, alumni, and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that an individual under 13 has submitted information, we will delete it immediately. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use our Website only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

10. Cookies & Analytics

We use basic cookies or local storage tags to remember your voting state (preventing double votes) and to monitor site navigation paths. You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of the interest voting workflow may not function correctly.
